Southwest Australia

I took a trip down south and stayed in Margaret River for 5 days. Here's the group who stayed for the full time, while another 3 girls were there part time. Thanks to a couple George Foreman's, we had really nice roasted meat and veggies for dinner for more nights. Sandy (far right) also made a very tasty green curry the last night.

The house we stayed in was really comfy, with a hot tub in the back. Besides seeing the sites around Margaret River, we also watched quite a few movies on those couches, watched Scrubs episodes, played some taboo (who knew so many of the words were "american".. eg. diaper = nappy), Sudoku puzzles that I mention later.. , and even a bit of reading from this novel I found in the house.

It also had weird decorations too...

Day 1 - Augusta

We went south to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse in Augusta, where the Indian Ocean and Southern ocean meets.

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse

Don't know if you can read it on the sign, but it's the southern-most point in Australia.

...and the Southern Ocean... see any difference?

We also drove through the Borinup Forest, which contains Karri trees that are apparently the 3rd tallest in the world. Sorry, no pictures..

Day 2

It was a bit rainy, so we did some indoor stuff. We went to a few wineries (one had a very nice chess set where i played a quick game of chess), cheese factory (had a yogurt sample.. even tried one little piece of cheese, but bleh! what do you know? I still don't like plain cheese), and the Candy Cow (yum! fudge samples)
