It all began on a Friday afternoon when Sub and I decided to make use of her rental car again and venture south a bit. We ended up at Serpentine Falls.. lo and behold... kangaroos, causally munching away on some grass by the car park (parking lot). So this is where they've been hiding!
Well they were so close, we HAD to get out of the car to take some better pictures. They looked so cute and fuzzy I wanted to pat them.. but they kept hopping away from me.
Sub however had to walk away from them! ..this is as close as she'd get. =P
Hmmm, maybe it was a good idea to keep a distance since this little guy looks like he wants to pounce.
Now where are those platypus, koalas, and wombats? =)

hi mom! no, these were the little ones.. you can take a look at the picture with sub in it to get an idea... maybe about half my height?
Kangaroos are the best! Gotta say one of my childhood favourite animals. I wonder if people can tame them and have them as pets LOL. Although PT did say they had kangaroo jerky... who'd want to eat these guys bleh :P. Maybe you can try some while you're there.

those kangaroos are SURE cute! I saw some kangaroos too....but at the Calgary zoo. haha. made me think of you tho ;)
