Starting Study Week #3

Saturday I went to the Perth Royal Show with my flatmate, Claire. Unfortunately, I forgot my camera so no pictures there. It's basically like PNE/CNE Aussie style. It was a fun filled day with a pig race, horse jumping, monster trucks, malaysian drummers/dancers, and even caught the last bit of the footy grand final on the big screen. The hometown Westcoast Eagles were in Melbourne playing against Sydney. Lost by 4 points!! :( A bit disappointed.. just when I was getting into it!

Also celebrated a couple birthdays the last couple days. This is Sashi, a 3rd year physio..my first Indian themed bday party!



And Claire. Notice the lovely ice cream cake she's holding! ...one of two cakes that Sub and I made for her. I think they turned out quite well considering the limited supplies. Originally we were going to bring food too, but who knew yesterday was a public holiday and grocery stores were closed?!? Oops!



Thought I'd add a pic in of a couple star athletes :) Sub, softball superstar who recently signed with a team and played with an Olympic player & Jill, the recently awarded western state champ in mountain biking! I should get their autographs :P
