In recent months it seems that a lot of my things are breaking down and just not going my way. Here are some examples:
My car:
-torn timing belt
-broken headlight
My laptop:
-damaged HD on my lap top so everything got erased.
-pictures lost. not all of them thankfully, but some are gone and can't be replaced
-music lost. I thought I was safe since it was on my iPod. due to my own carelessness, I erased it all by mistake while trying to download music files for my research project onto it. =(
My bike:
-bent wheel that had to be replaced
-broken pedals yet to be fixed
Part of an assignment:
-Working on it at the school computer. Ended up crashing before I saved it, lost an hour or 2 worth of work.
It's been kind of frustrating, but I guess it brought up this verse to mind as a reminder:
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal." Matt 6:19
... I would like to add where technology fails and where stuff just breaks.
